Waste guide
What can go in a skip?
A quick guide to what you can and can't put in a SkipCOZA 2 m³ mini skip.
Yes, this can go in
- Household clean-up and junk
- Garden refuse: grass, branches, leaves
- Renovation rubble: bricks, tiles, concrete
- Soil, sand and stone (filled level)
- Cardboard, paper and packaging
- Wood, offcuts and old furniture
- Office and shop clear-outs
- Builders' and tradesmen's waste
No, please keep these out
- Hazardous waste and chemicals
- Paint, solvents, oil and fuel
- Asbestos
- Batteries and gas bottles
- Tyres
- Medical waste
- Liquids of any kind
- Dead animals
How full can I fill it?
Fill the skip level with the top. Overfilled skips can't travel safely on the road, so our driver may need to remove the excess before collecting.
How much fits in 2 m³?
About 10 to 15 wheelbarrow loads. That's enough for most garage clear-outs, garden makeovers and small bathroom or kitchen renovations.

Questions about waste
What can I put in the skip?
Household junk, garden refuse, building rubble, soil, cardboard and wood. No hazardous waste, chemicals, paint, oil, asbestos, batteries, tyres or liquids.
How full can I fill the skip?
Fill the skip level with the top. Overfilled skips can't be moved safely on the road, so we may need to remove the excess first.
Can I put soil and rubble in a mini skip?
Yes. Soil, sand, stone, bricks and concrete are fine, but they are heavy: fill the skip level with the top and no higher.
What happens if there is hazardous waste in the skip?
We can't take hazardous waste to the disposal site. If we find it, we will ask you to remove it before we collect the skip.
